Rose-Hulman Ventures is focused on providing unique
educational opportunities for our students by assisting
technology-driven businesses in the development of new
products and services. Our project managers, student
interns, and faculty provide the expertise to complete
the design, prototyping and testing of commercial
products and services.
We
are steadfast in our commitment to offer students the
best engineering professional practice experience
possible within an academic program. That means hands-on
projects in collaboration with companies where outcomes
are both educational to students and value-added to
companies.
That unique combination yields substantial results.
Students capitalize on opportunities that empower them
to make the transition from exceptional students to
exceptional employees, ready to tackle any engineering
challenge. Over 60 companies have launched new products
or penetrated new markets as a direct result of that
expertise.
We differentiate ourselves in the following ways:
Project Engagement
Whether your organization is an emerging company
immersed in bringing new products to market or an
established organization in need of supplementing your
engineering expertise, our project teams deliver
technical solutions that help you shape your business.
Our creative teams of projects managers, students and
faculty drive results and value for technology-based
companies. Using state-of-the-art resources, teams work
in the modeling, prototyping, assembly and testing of
products and services. Most projects are
multidisciplinary and utilize expertise from any
combination of Rose-Hulman’s 15 academic programs.

Professional Project Management
A key component in the growing success of our client
companies is the special role played by Rose-Hulman
Ventures’ engineering
project managers.
These experienced professionals manage the teams of
students, faculty members and others who work with
companies to develop innovative technologies into
commercial products and services. Our project managers
are full-time employees so that projects can extend
throughout the year independent of the academic
calendar.
Educational Opportunities
Rose-Hulman Ventures provides an exciting and
challenging learning environment for
student interns.
Tackling projects that are of definitive value to client
companies offers a realistic parallel between the
technological learning environment and the technological
workplace. Multidisciplinary teams enable students to
develop not only the technical skills needed for
success, but also the ability to communicate across a
variety of levels.
Since its inception, Rose-Hulman Ventures has provided
1,155 internship opportunities to 431 students ranging
from the technical development of medical technology to
analytical instrumentation. These students have been
significant contributors to the technology and business
development activities for our clients. Students leave
Rose-Hulman Ventures with the skills and confidence
necessary to make major contributions to future
employers.
Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology
Our technical edge begins with the institution that gives
us our foundation:
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
In 2006, U.S. News & World Report magazine lists Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology No. 1
among all colleges and universities that offer the
bachelor’s or master’s as the top degree in engineering.
Earning a reputation as one of the nation's leading
independent colleges, Rose‑Hulman specializes in
undergraduate engineering, mathematics and science. Its
educational philosophy focuses on small classes,
outstanding teachers and an innovative curriculum.
Rose‑Hulman accepts only the nation's most academically
talented students, with 86 percent of the students ranked
in the top fifth of their high-school class.
