Will mentors and manages teams of
student interns who provide business and
technical assistance to client
companies. He provides the project
management and technical leadership to
his project teams. Will's
responsibilities include defining the
project scope and schedule, building a
project team, and managing client
relationships.
Will has been managing engineering teams
in a variety of disciplines at RHIT
since 1998. Many of his recent projects
have been in the medical software
industry. These projects have included:
developing an application to collect
data during open heart surgery,
providing a handheld interface to
obstetricians during office visits,
creating an analysis engine for
real-time telemedicine data gathered on
remote geriatric patients, and creating
a web interface to allow investigators
to monitor and request bio-specimens
stored at a long term cryogenic
facility.
Previously, Will has worked as a project
manager for a contract engineering firm
designing and installing industrial
automation systems and video inspection
systems. He has been an IEEE Certified
Software Development Professional (CSDP)
since 2003. He was a founder and the
first chairman of the The Illiana
Information Technology Association. He
has served as the coordinator of the
annual IllianaTech SummIT conference
each year since 2003. He received his
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from
Rose-Hulman in 1993. Will is currently
completing a Masters in Engineering
Management degree.
